HDMI over Coax
HDMI over Coax devices allow the predominantly used high-quality HDMI audio and video signals to be transferred over long distances on the standard Ethernet networks. In modern networking setups, HDMI signals require standard or high-speed HDMI cables to work at the intended rate and resolution. These signal transmission devices ensure that the final AV output at the receiver's end is high-quality regardless of the distance.

HDMI over Coax devices is the simplest solution for transmitting lossless HDMI signals over an Ethernet network with Cat5e/6 cables using HDBaseT. These devices can also facilitate extending a preexisting Ethernet cabling network without overhauling the whole system.
The network needs an HDMI transmitter, a signal extender, and an HDMI receiver to transmit HDMI signals effectively. The transmitter converts audio and video signals from the source into ones that can be transferred. These transmitters can convert signals from many devices, including computers, Blu-ray players, and media servers. The extenders amplify the signal strength in the cables for optimum transmission. These extenders also contain features that automatically adjust signal equalization and amplification depending on the cable length. Finally, the HDMI signal receivers are installed for the output stations to decompress the high-definition video, audio, and control signals.
These devices enable networks to extend far beyond the limits of a standard cable and are ideal for large establishments like airports, libraries, shopping malls, and multistory office buildings. Users can enjoy video resolution support for 4K UHD and HDR and audio support for multichannel audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio. These devices can cover transmission distances up to seventy to one hundred meters without extenders. Additionally, HDCP compliance ensures the device is compatible with a wide range of Blu-ray players, streaming services, and other HDMI sources.
