The kit includes two devices, a transmitter, and a receiver, each featuring the power over cable functionality. This setup is designed to allow the device on one end to power the other through the cable used for signal transfer. The most important feature of this kit is the lossless 4K HDR video support, which ensures the output video quality with high-definition audio format.
The kit utilizes long-range HDMI transmission. This means it allows users to transmit HDMI signals over long distances using Ethernet cables and facilitates the connection of any source, like a media player, Blu-ray player, or computer, to a display such as a TV or projector far from the source.
The standard receiver and transmitter kit allows HDMI signal transmission distances of up to 100 meters for 1080p signals and up to 70 meters for 4K signals over a single Ethernet cable. The maximum length of a standard HDMI cable can only range between fifteen and thirty meters, with a direct inverse relation between the cable length and the signal quality. On the other hand, the signal transmission capacity of this receiver and transmitter kit makes it ideal for setups where standard HDMI cables would be too short or cumbersome, such as in large rooms, buildings, or conference rooms.
