Description
The Altinex MT322-107 is a 2-Slot, 1-In, 3-Out AC International Power Distribution Multitasker Card with Current Sensor. This Card has been designed for use with Altinex Multitasker Systems and works by distributing AC power from a single AC source to multiple AC outlets. It contains a standard NEMA 5-15R power receptacles for outputs, and IEC male connectors for the AC supply input. These outlets can be connected to any type of audio/video equipment where the total current supplied to all outlets is less than 10A. With that, this card features built-in sensors that will alert the user through flashing LED's when the load starts to exceed 8.5A as well as a warning message being sent to the RS-232 bus when the current draw is close to max. As a safety feature when the equipment that is connected to the MT322-107 draws 9.5A or more for 3 seconds, the card will automatically start turning outlets off, until the current is back below the 10 Amp max, and will send an RS-232 command to the user informing them of this action.
The MT322-107 can turn plugged in audio/video equipment on or off in a sequential order, which can be defined through RS-232 protocol commands, with a programmable time delay between switching from 0-50s. Additionally there are built-in current measuring circuits to detect load levels which can be read over the RS-232 bus. The measurement is in amps and can monitor the load level on any or all outputs.
The threshold level for the on/off detect feature is adjustable to accommodate different loads and determine when AV equipment is on or off. This feature is especially important for DVD players or any other equipment that has only IR control capabilities. Using this feature, the control system can determine if the device is on or off by the amount of current it draws. This card comes backed by a lifetime warranty from Altinex.
