Description
The FA136T87FRK from Atlas Sound is a 3 Hour Fire Rated UL263 6" Strategy Coaxial Loudspeaker with 8-Watt 70V Transformer. This speaker kit comes with an enclosure-fiber kit, UL listed speaker/transformer assembly, and UL listed baffle. Each enclosure-fiber kit includes pre-cut fiber panels, metal enclosure, rail set, and hardware. The FR series from Atlas Sound has been developed as the only speaker assemblies that are UL classified for fire-resistance in the United States and Canada and have passed a fire-rating up to three hours in accordance with the UL standard. The 6" Strategy Coaxial Loudspeaker is a high-fidelity, coaxial, 6" loudspeaker that delivers 50-watts with full frequency response and wide 130 degree dispersion. The included speaker grille on this device offers a sturdy, two piece construction that features a perforated mesh grille, welded to a formed out ring. This perforated design and narrow ring width enables it to embrace selective applications while providing optimum loudspeaker performance.

This fire rated speaker system was designed to lower overall install costs compared to a labor intensive alternative of having to install a contractor constructed drywall fire box. This unit is ideal for Architects, consultants, and contractors needing speaker assemblies when drop-in fire protective ceilings are required to meet local fire or building code requirements. The FR series assemblies are perfect for use with a main loudspeaker system in schools, convention centers, hotels, industrial facilities houses of worship and other public buildings. Additionally they can be suitable for use with auxiliary loudspeaker systems in arenas, airports, theaters, office building corridors, and lobbies.
