Description

The 29169 Parallax Thin 16:9 HDTV Fixed Frame Projection Screen from Da-Lite. This screen features the Parallax 0.8 surface which was designed for standard throw projection systems, features a 54" x 96" or 110" diagonal screen size, and ships completely assembled with a thin-bezeled (3/8") frame. The screen material is made of an ambient light rejecting technology that features a micro-layered optical lens system that rejects light. Making this technology unique in the sense that it allows for the screen surface to mimic that of a television when it is either on or off, but without the glare commonly seen reflected from windows or lighting fixtures in television screens. With very wide viewing angles, no speckle or glare this type of screen surface solution is ideal for use in both Pro A/V applications and home theater use.

To preserve image quality each layer of the Parallax plays an important role in maintaining image that is reflected back to the view in high ambient light environments. Some of the layers will absorb the light while one special layer is shaped like a microscopic saw-tooth that blocks light from above, which in-turn results in the preservation of high-contrast, bright images, in brightly lit environments.
