Description
The Hall Research FHD264-R is a HDMI over LAN Receiver (Decoder) that employs video encoding to distribute multiple Full HD video signals on a Gigabit local area network (LAN). Supporting SD, HD and Full HD resolutions, the FHD264-R comes with internal video scaling capabilities so the end user can control the bit rate and scaling features depending on the connected network bandwidth.
This Hall Research receiver provides a local HDMI output while also offering extracted HDMI audio on a 3.5mm stereo jack. Via the front panel LCD of this device, users can view or configure specific parameters like IP settings, multicast group selection, assignment of device names and more. This device also extends RS-232 communication and remote IR signals.
The FHD264-R includes RS-232 serial ports that can be used in SoIP mode (Serial over IP) and allows 3rd party IP controllers to command connected equipment over the network. The RS-232 port is bi-directional, which means that the controller or the controlled device can be at the Sender's or Receiver's end.
This product offers a fail-safe automatic video routing and redundancy, so if the receiver is not detecting any video on it's currently assigned channel, it will switch to an alternate channel that can be defined by a user. It can also automatically switch back to the original multicast channel if the video is detected again.
An IR remote controller is included with the FHD264-R, which allows users to switch from a monitor to another source. The included IR remote also controls sources such as video players, and from the Receiver location, the IR remote can switch the video to a desired Sender.
The Hall Research FHD264-R is intended to be used with the Hall Research FHD264-S and can be used for digital signage, meeting rooms, classrooms and more!
