Description
The Icron 3001-15 is a 49.2' Super High Speed USB 3.0 active extension cable, it has a female to locking male USB connection. Using USB 3.0 features a throughput of up to 5Gbps which is 10x faster than USB 2.0. The cable is constructed of high quality shielded active circuitry to extend your USB 3.0 further than the 25' passive limitation of a traditional USB cable. The cable is powered through the USB port however for devices that require more than 2.5W there is an additional USB 3.0 connector to get more power, no external power is required. Making this an ideal USB cable extender solution with "Machine Vision" (works with USB3 Vision compliant cameras and devices), security, storage, or large file transfer type applications.
The Icron 3001-15 is plug and play and required no drivers, up to two of these can be daisy chained to double your distance. This active cable ensures that you will have a trouble free USB 3.0 transmission with no distance limitations. The cable is warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase. Backward compatibility to USB 2.0/1.1 is not supported by this particular extender.
