Description

Kramer's 6241HDxl is a 4x1 high-quality HDTV compatible switcher for 3G HD-SDI serial digital video signals. This device works by taking any one of the four 3G HD-SDI inputs and applies the proper reclocking and equalization, then outputs the signal to one 3G HD-SDI output. This is ideal in situations where you have a need to take 3G HD-SDI signals from multiple cameras and digital video player sources for example and output the high quality signal to an LCD display with speakers for viewing. Primarily this device will be found in Video broadcast studios for signal routing or non-linear editing suites, but also is great in Video production studios, as well as boardrooms and classrooms. The multi-standard operation of the device allows it to use SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G HD-SDI signals. 

The main features of the 6241HDxl are: a maximum data rate up to 2.97Gbps, HDTV compatibility, adjustment free operation, automatic equalization for losses on 75 Ohm coax cable, 8-bit and 10-bit video operation with automatic word length recognition, and an unmodified transmission of all signal information (including embedded information) from the inputs to the output. The 6241HDxl also uses Kramer's Equalization and "re-Klocking" technology which will rebuild the digital signal to travel longer distances. To avoid interference, deterioration in signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise levels, it is recommended to use any of Kramer's high quality cables with this product.

This switcher comes with its own power supply and mounting brackets, and with its compact DigiTOOLS size, 3 units in the DigiTOOLS size can be rack mounted side by side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-3T rack adapter from Kramer, which will help keep your devices in a safe, clutter free rack for a low impact footprint in your work environment. This product also comes back by a 7 year warranty.
