Description
Kramer AV KDS-EN7, manufactured by Kramer Electronics , is a powerful AVoIP encoder from the KDS-7 series. The device enables its user to encode AV signals and convert them into a data stream format that can be transmitted across the IP network to a decoder or a group of decoders with minimal loss in video quality. This encoder features support for video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz with embedded audio over HDMI, utilizing the H.265 (HEVC) standard for efficient video compression. It can be used as a part of a video distribution system to display videos on large-scale video walls.
The Kramer AV KDS-EN7 delivers a user-friendly experience with a versatile set of input options and an intuitive user interface. This encoder offers users many high-performance features, including a searchable OSD menu (on-screen display) for KM (keyboard/mouse) and KVM (keyboard/video/mouse), with an instantaneous, just one-second switching time.
The Kramer AV KDS-EN7 is simple to deploy using its plug-and-play feature on existing IP networks with Netgear M4250 AVoIP switches, Kramer Control, KDS-USB2, or other devices with similar specifications.
Like many other devices from the original KDS series, Kramer AV KDS-EN7 also uses high-level security protocols, including 802.1x and HTTPS/TLS. This encoder design has been awarded OWASP Top 10 certification. The encoder uses ETH-ports for data security and to enhance the user experience, providing a more robust and secure network connection. It also features Kramer Electronics’ latest hardware architecture to enable robust firmware updates to maximize functionality.
