Description
The Kramer VS-42UHD is a high-quality 4x2 Matrix Switcher for HDMI signals that supports 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 resolutions at up to 8.91Gbps data transfer speeds. This device will reclock and equalize the signals and can route any input to either of both outputs simultaneously. The matrix switcher features automatic switching modes for last connected device or by priority. It is HDCP complaint and has HDMI support for 3D, Deep Color, x.v.Color, Lip Sync, ARC, HEAC pass-through, with Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS–HD, and 7.1 multi–channel audio format support. Making this an ideal matrix switcher for use in conference rooms, education type settings, bars/restaurants, or high-quality home theater setups.
Additional functions that are built into the VS-42UHD include Kramer's I-EDIDPro Intelligent EDID processing which is an intelligent EDID handling & processing algorithm which ensures that the device for plug and play operation in HDMI systems that it is connected to. It has a programmable Step-in functionality that when used with compatible step-in devices, such as the SID-X3N (not included) while using an HDMI cable that supports HEC, the HDMI Ethernet Channel. There is also a non-volatile EDID storage, as well as Kramer's reKlocking & equalization technology which will rebuilt the digital signal to travel longer distances. Versatile control options for the matrix switcher are achieved via the front panel buttons, RS-232, Ethernet, infrared remote control, or optional remote IR receiver. Embedded web pages provide remote configuration and operation. A lock button is included on the front panel to allow the devices settings to be "locked" to prevent tampering or accidental changes to the settings.
