Description
The Shure MX393/C Microflex Cardiod Boundary Microphone was designed as a surface-mounted electret condenser microphone that is ideal for mounting on conference tables, stage floors, and lecterns. The MX300 microphone series have tailored for high sensitivity and wide frequency ranges which make them suitable for picking up speech and vocals in sound reinforcement and recording applications. This version comes with the cardiod cartridge that features 130 degrees of directional sound pic up, but has the option to swap out different cartridges if installations require (additional cartridges must be purchased separately). Also included with this unit is an internal preamplifier, in addition to programmable logic input and output. MX300 Series microphones take advantage of the principle that, at a barrier or boundary, the sound pressure level doubles. When placed near a sufficiently large boundary surface, the microphone has 6 dB higher sensitivity and approximately 3 dB greater direct-to-reverberant sound ratio.
